*Disc-style Chippers* Disc-style chippers chip at approximately a 45 degree angle. This allows them to chip larger diameter material easier, using less energy, while chipping with less vibration. Like with whittling, cutting with the knives set fixed requires less energy to chip. This allows disc shippers to throw harder, fully loading the chip truck.

		*Drum-style Chippers* The oversized drum chips the material on the bottom half of the drum. This allows the knife to cut with the grain of the wood, similar to the disc-style chippers. Bandit’s drum-style chippers chip with less vibration, consume less fuel and require less horsepower than the competitor’s machines that feature smaller diameter drums.
